Meet our Founder
Hello!
Kera Sanchez is a secondary educator, a mom of two, and now — once again — a military spouse. After living a civilian life for the past decade, her husband answered the call to return to service, this time commissioning as a Navy officer. Suddenly, the logistics of PCS moves, deployments, and Tricare returned — and Kera knew she needed something more than just another Facebook spouse group to navigate the road ahead.
She’s no stranger to building something from uncertainty. In 2022, after the unexpected loss of her mother, Kera founded Get Griefy — a grief-focused magazine that combined unfiltered honesty with wit, healing, and community (think Betches, but make it grief therapy). That project gave her both a voice and a purpose during her own healing process.
Now, she’s channeling that same creative force into MILSPO Social Co. — a magazine made by and for military spouses. Designed as a platform to elevate the real voices behind the uniforms, it highlights the women leading behind the scenes and offers everyday MILSPOs a chance to contribute, connect, and speak their truth.
Because this isn’t just a publication — it’s a community.
And it’s run by the people living it every day.
